How to make elderflower syrup from dehydrated elderflower
Prep Time 30 minutes mins
- 1 bag of our elderflower tea
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/2 tsp citric acid (optional)
- 1/2 lemon, sliced
- 1 cup raw honey or sugar
Boil water in a pot. Add citric acid now, if you're using it. If you're using sugar, make a simple syrup by adding the sugar and stirring until it's melted.
Take water or simple syrup from heat. Add elderflower and lemon slices. Stir, then cover pot.
Infuse for 30 minutes.
Strain, using cheesecloth, into a mason jar.
If using honey, add it now. Stir until honey is incorporated.
